WOW what a week

This has been a fairly funfilled and yet, productive week in the Perry house. Sunday, we went to Pump it Up for the first time in forever. The kids were so excited to get to go and had a great time helping their friend, Cason, celebrate his birthday. Monday, Ashton and Maddie went for their cleanings at the dentist. I have to say that last time they were much easier than this time. Ashton ended up having to sit up to get his cleaned or we were not going to be getting them cleaned at all. Therefore, Maddie had to be like Ashton and sit up as well. It was one of those visits that couldn't end fast enough. LOL
Tuesday, Alex took the day off and spent the day with us. WE WERE ALL SUPER EXCITED!!! Alex rarely takes a day off for no reason. He ended up going to the new church building to meet with the guys and make some plans for the construction and then we had lunch with some friends. It was nice to just hang out and relax. The rest of the day, I spent with a head ache, but Alex and the kids got to enjoy some time outside playing together.
Wednesday and Thursday, the kids and I enjoyed as much outside time as we could. They asked me this morning when was the rain going to go away. LOL They can't wait for this rain to just stop for us to enjoy some more time playing. They have loved getting to play on the swingset and jump in their trampoline instead of just riding their bikes around in the garage all winter. We've also spent some time learning to write our names across the driveway with sidewalk chaulk. I'm so excited that spring is here and we can get back out and about finally!!!
Hope you are all enjoying the start of spring as much as the Perry's are. I'm sure I'll start having a ton more pictures to post soon.

Clint & Laurie's Wedding 2

Here are some family shots!

Clint & Laurie's Wedding

Today, Alex's brother, Clint got married. He and Laurie had a very simple ceremony and then we all went to eat together and get to know one another's families. Laurie seems very sweet and her and Clint look really cute together. We wish them the very best!!!
This is the happy couple!

All Star Game

Alex made the All Star team in his hockey league. Last night following the Predators/Rangers game, his team played on the Preds ice. It was a super big deal and he was excited about it. You don't get too many chances to play on the same ice as some of the best hockey players ever. I took a million pictures and so this is just a few. The game didn't turn out quite the way we wanted, but it didn't matter because it was an awesome experience regardless. Way to go Alex!!!!!

Treats from Daddy

Alex surprised Ashton, Maddie and myself with treats today when he came home from work. He brought us each something special from Becker's Bakery in Donelson. They have fantastic goodies there. If you've never been there, it is definitely worth a stop.
Ashton got a green dinasour cookie and Maddie got a pink teddy bear cookie.
I, on the other hand, got a birthday cake. No, its not my birthday! However, I told Alex that I really wanted a Becker's birthday cake last year and he forgot. We somehow got to talking about that the other night and so he went today and got me what I wanted. He says that it isn't a six month late birthday cake, but instead it is a six month EARLY birthday cake. LOL Either way, I'm ecstatic. I love their cakes and I thought it was super duper sweet of him to think of me!! I love you Alex!!

Fun afternoon at the park

The kids have been dying to "get out of this house". So, today was the perfect day for that. We played outside briefly at home this morning, but the wind was still a little chilly. After naps, I told them we'd go to the park instead. They were raring to go when they woke up, so it was off to the park. We carried their riding toys so that we could walk the track and let them ride. As you can see from one of the pictures, Maddie got tired of peddling and Daddy had to carry her toy, but she loved chasing Ashton in the meantime. It was a short trip, but they had fun and it let them "get out of this house" for a little bit.

Addison for the day!

This past weekend, Casey, Brandon and Addison came to visit. Casey and Brandon planned a "date day" and we kept Addison. We started the day out going to church. This was Addison's first experience going to a church preschool class and her mom and dad were a bit nervous. Addison proved us all wrong and did a fantastic job. I walked her and Maddie to class, Addison hopped right up at the table and started playing with playdough and turned back and told me bye. I checked in on her a couple of times and she was laughing and playing like it wasn't a big deal at all. It was great! She even came home with her first preschool/Sunday school art project for mom and dad. She was excited and so was Casey!!!

After church, we stopped at Waffle House for a late breakfast/early lunch and then headed home. Alex was feeling under the weather, so all three kids and myself laid down in the living room floor to watch a movie and wind down for naps. My two munchkins were not making it easy for Addison to go to sleep, so I had to put them in their own beds. Not five minutes later, Addison was out cold.

We ended up the afternoon, playing dress up and in the "kitchen" making food for each other. All and all it was a really fun day and we can't wait to have Addison over for another play day soon. Hint, Hint for Casey and Brandon. LOL
