Meet the Preds

Last week, a couple Predators players were at the Hermitage Kroger for a signing. Alex and Erik decided they would take the kids to get a couple of autographs.
As you can see, Alex had to get a picture of the Puck Girls, so why not shove Kaleigh and Maddie in to the picture too. :P
Here is Maddie, Ashton and Kaleb standing in front the signing table with Colin Wilson and Nick Spaling. Maddie with her silly little cheese going.
And the visit wouldn't be complete without a picture in front of the predators truck.

Ashton at hockey practice

Last weekend, Alex got a video of Ashton practicing. I thought I'd share how good he is doing. I'm impressed with how good he skates backwards. I can't hardly skate forwards! LOL

Rainforest

Maddie's class did a series on the rainforest. With each series they do, the kids decorate the room accordingly. I spent a day with them helping to make animals and things that you'd find in the rainforest to decorate with. We had a lot of fun. Here is what the room looked like once it was all put together.
Next is the ice age and I'm not sure what is in store for that one!

Rollerblading

A couple of weeks ago Maddie and Ashton were playing in the garage and Ashton came inside screaming. I ran out there thinking something was wrong only to find out that nothing was wrong at all. Maddie had learned to rollerblade and Ashton was just excited for her. :-) When Alex got up, she sweet talked her Daddy in to going to buy her some pink skates all of her own!
This a video we took of her in the garage.

All about Sarah

Ashton has been doing so good on his writing lately. Alex and I are both really proud of him. This particular day he wrote about our friend, Sarah. She was rollerblading one day before church and had a mishap and broke her wrist. Ashton wrote about her in his daily writing at school and then asked me to send her a picture. :-)
This is what it says:
My mom's friend broke her wrist and she had to go to the hospital. She was roller skating across from the street from the church. Nat took her to the hospital. They fix her up. I'm sad because she's the best singer on whole earth.

New Glue Gun Holder

About a month ago, I found this really neat glue gun holder on Pinterest. I saw that you could buy them on Ebay, but asked Alex if he could make me one cheaper. His response was "probably". However, that $15 glue gun turned in to him having to buy a new tool and cost WAY MORE than the $15. :-) I'm not complaining though. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this thing. It is so handy and beats the glue covered plastic plate I was using.
Thanks honey!!!!!!!
