The PE teacher at Coles Ferry chooses students that are the best in their grade level at jumping rope and then those children jump at the Jump Rope for Heart competition. Ashton wasn't so good at it last year and wasn't asked but this year both of the kids got asked.
Maddie wasn't the best at jumping and was about the third girl to have to sit down, but she did her best and we were proud of her. :-)Ashton did a good job and made it, along with four other boys, to the second round of his boys competition.
The second round, you had to jump rope backwards and Ashton isn't as good at that, so he was eliminated that round. He did his best too and we are super excited for both of them for making it to where they did.
